Yes! Again my first pick is CeraVe. First off, let's talk about why CeraVe is such a big deal in the skincare world. CeraVe is known for its dermatologist-developed products that cater to various skin types and concerns. The CeraVe Foaming Cleanser Face Wash for Oily Skin is particularly popular among those of us with oily, acne-prone skin. But what makes it so special?
Let's talk about first impression- it's bottle. It is a basic white bottle with a pump dispenser (one pump will be sufficient for one was) with a very clever use of colour, but this looks inviting to the eyes.
It is strong enough to remove excess oil and gentle enough to not strip away your natural skin barrier and dry it out. It has a light, gel-like consistency that foams up nicely. It doesn't feel too heavy or greasy, a plus for oily skin. But if you prefer a rich, creamy lather, this might feel too light. Right after washing, my skin feels clean but not stripped. It’s a fine balance between removing excess oil and maintaining hydration. It melts make-up and SPF off easily.
This is anti-inflammatory and anti-allergic, therefore suitable for sensitive and acne-prone skin. It is soap- and fragrance-free, it is what the product says but it contains a really calming fragrance of all the ingredients, and many of you might not even feel it, so yeah "almost" fragrance-free from my end.
One of the users even quoted-"Over the month, I noticed fewer breakouts and an overall smoother texture. My skin felt more balanced and less shiny throughout the day."
This doesn’t clog pores, which is necessary for oily skin. Let's just talk about it's key ingredients real quick-
- Hyaluronic Acid- It hydrates the skin by retaining moisture, which is crucial even for oily skin. It also keeps your skin plump and hydrated without adding extra oil.
- Ceramides- It helps restore and maintain the skin’s natural barrier. It protects your skin from environmental aggressors and helps lock in moisture.
- Niacinamide- This helps to calm the skin and reduce inflammation. It reduces redness and irritation, making it perfect for acne-prone skin.
You can p this from the link attached below. One bottle of 88 ml can continue for approximately 2 months if you wash it twice daily.
Ingredient list- Water, Cocamidopropyl Hydroxysultaine, Sodium Lauroyl Sarcosinate, Propanediol, PEG-150 Pentaerythrityl Tetrastearate, PEG-6 Caprylic/Capric Glycerides, Glycerin, Ceramide NP, Ceramide AP, Ceramide EOP, Carbomer, Niacinamide, Sodium Methyl Cocoyl Taurate, Sodium Benzoate, Sodium Chloride, Sodium Lauroyl Lactylate, Sodium Hyaluronate, Cholesterol, Phenoxyethanol, Disodium EDTA, Citric Acid, Tetrasodium EDTA, Phytosphingosine, Xanthan Gum, Ethylhexylglycerin
If I missed something, feel free to drop a comment.
2. Deconstruct 0.5% Salicylic Acid + 1% Niacinamide Oil Control Facewash- 4.5/5 ⭐
Salicylic acid is the star player here. It's a beta hydroxy acid (BHA) known for its ability to penetrate deep into the pores and exfoliate from within. It says "oil control" and it simply delivers "oil control". It is really realllyyyy good for deep cleansing, exfoliating, and oil control of course. After washing your face you will feel like your every pore is clean. It is a good-to-go face wash for removing dirt, make-up and SPF after a long day. It foams just fine giving you a relaxing feel, leaving your skin all goovy. It has a clear, gel-like consistency but is not too runny. It is fragrance-free! perfect for sensitive sniffers. It controls oil without stripping, is gentle for daily use and doesn't clog pores.
its packaging is simple and clean bottle with a pump dispenser. Easy to use in the shower (huge plus!).
This one is suphate-free, pH: 4.0 - 5.5, Paraben Free, Silicone Free, SLS Free, Fragrance Free, Vegan, Phthalate free and Cruelty Free. It has 0.5% Salicylic acid is a lipophilic acid that can easily penetrate through the skin and unclog the pores. This helps to control oil, clear pores off of excess sebum, dirt & dead cells and exfoliate the top layer of the skin revealing softer, more even skin and hence improving skin texture. 1% Niacinamide improves skin’s texture, controls oils, restores skin barrier, and also moisturizes skin.
It might be not suitable for very oily skin or stubborn acne. Some even faced skin drying out if they use it for both AM and PM wash daily for 1 month or so if you have oily skin that is more inclined towards normal skin type.
This facewash is a solid choice for oily skin types looking for a gentle BHA cleanser. It keeps things simple and effective without breaking the bank. However, if you have super oily skin or deep-seated acne, you might need something stronger.
FreshhFleshh Tip: Pair this cleanser with an oil cleanser for a deeper clean to remove makeup and sunscreen and this one will work amazingly!
I even loved its consistency, you can even add some clay to it and use it as a mask.
You can purchase this from the link attached below. One bottle of 100 ml can continue for approximately 2 months if you wash it twice daily. And baammm!! Budget-friendly as well. It is a must-try!
Ingredient list- Aqua, Cocamidopropyl betaine, Sodium Methyl 2-sulfolaurate, Disodium 2-sulfolaurate, Sodium Methyl Cocoyl Taurate, Chamomilla Recutita extract, Aloe Barbadensis extract, Glycerine, Xylitylglucoside, Anhydroxylitol, Xylitol, Niacinamide, Xanthan Gum, Ethylhexylglycerin, Phenoxyethanol, Salicylic Acid, Betaine, Sodium Gluconate.
3. Cetaphil Oily Skin Cleanser, Daily Face Wash for Oily, Acne-prone Skin- 4/5 ⭐
Looks like it belongs in a hospital waiting room—maybe it’s a reminder of those times you desperately sought help for your breakouts! No fancy stuff here, just a basic pump dispenser. Perfect for those chaotic mornings when you only have one hand free. It is a clear, gel-like consistency that feels surprisingly gentle. No harsh particles.
Keeping my humour aside (though I have a good one if we ever meet in person!)
This cleanser is all business, with no harsh chemicals or mystery fragrances. It does no over-stripping, just a clean excess oil. It is absolutely perfect for sensitive skin and won't clog your pores. It is fragrance-free, paraben-free, mineral oil-free, oil-free, soap-free, hypoallergenic, won't clog pores and defend against 5 signs of skin sensitivity. It t has a gentle foaming action that leaves the skin with a clean feeling, without any irritating residue.
Now, if I talk about my personal experience with the product it is good for normal to oily skin, but if you have too much of an oily skin type after using it for some time you might feel that your pores are not getting cleaned as they should be and you can even have some breakouts because of this. So either pair it with the stronger face wash for the PM routine, but this is nice for the AM routine. Can remove make-up and SPF but again, too oily skin, can work in the short run, but I didn't find it big on cleansing heavy oily skin type.
But again, if you are looking for a gentle wash this one can be a great pick for you.
You can get this from the link attached below. One bottle of 125 ml can continue for approximately 2 or 3 months if you wash it twice daily.
Ingredient list- Aqua (Purified Water/Eau Purifiée), PEG-200 Hydrogenated Glyceryl Palmate, PEG-7 Glyceryl Cocoate, Sodium Lauroyl Sarcosinate, Acrylates/Steareth-20 Methacrylate Copolymer, Glycerin, Sodium Laureth Sulfate, Butylene Glycol, Phenoxyethanol, Parfum (Masking Fragrance/Fragrance Masquante), Panthenol, PEG-60 Hydrogenated Castor Oil, Disodium EDTA, Methylparaben.
4. Minimalist 2% Salicylic Acid + LHA Cleanser- 4/5 ⭐
If you’re struggling with breakouts, or clogged pores, or just looking for a powerful yet gentle exfoliating cleanser, this one might be right up your alley. Minimalist has nailed the aesthetic with its sleek, no-nonsense packaging. The clear bottle lets you see exactly how much product you have left, which is always a plus. The minimalist design aligns perfectly with the brand's philosophy—simple, effective skincare.
Well, I personally was not much attracted towards Minimalist (I don't know what I was waiting for) but again, I am a girl and always eager to try new products. So yeah! went with the buzz that this brand has in the market.
The cleanser has a gel-like consistency that feels smooth and refreshing on the skin. It’s fragrance-free, which is great for those sensitive to strong scents. The gel lathers up lightly, providing a thorough cleanse without stripping your skin. After just a week of use, you can notice a significant reduction in blackheads and fewer breakouts. Your skin felt noticeably cleaner and fresher, with a healthy glow that wasn’t there before. This cleanser reduces sebum and prevents breakouts, deep cleanses pores, gently exfoliates, is suitable for daily use and is fragrance-free (mostly true, with a faint scent). It lathers nicely.
Its key ingredients include- Salicylic Acid (BHA), capryloyl Salicylic Acid (LHA), glycerin and Zinc.
One of the standout features of this cleanser is its ability to exfoliate without causing irritation. Your skin will feel soft and smooth post-wash, without the tight, dry feeling some other exfoliating cleansers can leave behind. The addition of LHA ensures a gentle exfoliation, making it suitable even for those with sensitive skin. The Minimalist Salicylic Acid + LHA 2% Cleanser is a solid option for those looking for an affordable BHA cleanser to combat acne and oily skin.
You can get this from the link attached below. One bottle of 100 ml can continue for approximately 1.5 to 2 months if you wash it twice daily.
Ingredients list- Aqua, Glycerin, Cocamidopropyl Betaine, Propanediol, Sodium Lauroyl Methyl Isethionate, Xylitylglucoside, Anhydroxylitol, Xylitol, PEG-150 Pentaerythrityl Tetrastearate, PEG-120 Methyl Glucose Dioleate, Salicylic Acid, Betaine, Avena Sativa (Oat) Kernel Extract, Pentylene Glycol, Capryloyl Salicylic Acid, Panthenol, Allantoin, Zinc Pca, Sodium PCA, Coco-Glucoside, Glyceryl Oleate, Phenoxyethanol, Ethylhexylglycerin, Trisodium Ethylenediamine Disuccinate, Lactic Acid, Citric Acid, Sodium Citrate, Sodium Hydroxide.
5. Wow Skin Science Green Tea Foaming Face Wash - Built-In Face Brush- 4/5 ⭐
I seriously don't understand why this face wash is so underrated everywhere, there are no issues with the ingredients, and no issue with the design that works well, but still people underrate this. Plus, this face wash has a built-in face brush which has the best effect on oily skin cleansing and it seriously helps in oil control, make-up and SPF remover.
Talking about packaging, it has really stepped up their game with this one. The face wash comes in a sleek, green bottle with a built-in silicone brush that promises a thorough, deep cleanse. The brush is soft yet effective, making it a standout feature right from the get-go. It is really easy to use it. Just pump a small amount of the foam onto the built-in brush, apply it to your wet face, and gently massage in circular motions. The brush helps to exfoliate and deep cleanse, reaching into the pores to remove dirt and impurities. Rinse thoroughly with lukewarm water and pat dry.
Ohh come on guys!! It have green tea- the best for your skin type.
The face wash dispenses as a light foam that feels airy and refreshing on the skin. It has a subtle, pleasant scent of green tea that is calming —perfect for a morning wake-up call or a relaxing evening cleanse. This face wash excels in giving your skin a thorough cleanse without over-drying it. The built-in brush adds an exfoliating step to your routine, ensuring that dead skin cells and impurities are effectively removed. After using this product for a couple of weeks, my skin felt smoother, clearer, and more balanced.
It comes with a catch- the built-in brush may need regular cleaning to prevent buildup which may cause breakouts, and foam consistency might not be everyone's preference. The Wow Skin Science Green Tea Foaming Face Wash with a built-in face brush is a fantastic addition to any skincare routine, especially if you’re looking for a product that combines cleansing and exfoliating in one step. It’s gentle, and effective, and leaves your skin feeling refreshed and revitalized. Whether you have oily, combination, or sensitive skin, this face wash could be a great fit for you.
Big Thumbs up!!
You can purchase it from the link attached below. One bottle of 150 ml can continue for approximately 1.5 months if you wash it twice daily.
Ingredients list- Purified Water, Cocamidopropyl Betaine, Sodium Lauroyl Sarcosinate, Disodium Cocoamphodiacetate, Glycerin (Vegetable Derived), Aloe Vera Extract, D Panthenol (Pro-Vitamin B5), Sodium PCA, Green Tea Extract, Phenoxyethanol, Ethylhexylglycerin, Fragrance, Tocopheryl Acetate (Vitamin E) & Disodium EDTA.
6. Dot & Key Deep Pore Foaming Face Wash- 3.5/5 ⭐
It comes in a sleek, cute, pastel-coloured tube. It has a very mild fragrance and suits dry to normal skin, very little product is enough. It makes your skin smooth and soft and doesn't dry the skin at all removing all the excess oil. It has a creamy and smooth texture with no harsh chemicals. It is just one cleanser you will need and it is not necessary to apply moisturizer after this (for oily skin), but if you are used to applying moisturizer then you can use a gel-based moisturizer after this. It is a mild, fresh scent that's not overpowering. The scent is not too strong (it will just make you feel nice).
This cleanser is a blend of interesting ingredients (my personal favourite part is its ingredients)-
- Seaweed Extract: Aims to control oil production.
- Lotus Flower Extract: This fancy-sounding ingredient helps promote cell turnover, which can lead to a brighter, more even complexion.
- Sulphate-free Cleansing Molecules: These gentle cleansers remove dirt and makeup without stripping your skin's natural oils.
It lathers amazingly, as it says "Foaming" and feels refreshing on skin. It removes excess oil, makeup and SPF just fine.
As of my personal review decent option for people with mild to moderate oily skin looking for a gentle, everyday cleanser. It offers a fun foaming experience and some interesting ingredients, all at an affordable price. However, if you have super oily skin or are looking for a heavy-duty cleanser, you might need to look at Neutrogena Depp Clean Facial Cleanser.
You can get this from the link attached below. One tube of 100 ml can continue for approximately 1.5 months if you wash it twice daily.
Ingredients list- Aqua, Myristic Acid, Glycerin, Seaweed Extract, Lotus Flower Extract, Acrylates/Steareth-20 Methacrylate Crosspolymer, Potassium Hydroxide, Propylene Glycol, Stearic Acid, Lauric Acid, Glycol Stearate, Cocamidopropyl Betaine, Glyceryl Stearate, PEG-100 Stearate, Phenoxyethanol, Ethylhexylglycerin, Octenidine Hcl, Lactic Acid, Glycolic Acid, Vaccinium Myrtillus Fruit Extract, Saccharum Officinarum (Sugarcane) Extract, Citric Acid, Citrus Aurantium Dulcis (Orange) Fruit Extract, Citrus Limon (Lemon) Fruit Extract, Acer Saccharum (Sugar Maple) Extract, Tartaric Acid, Malic Acid, Lotus (Nelumbo Nucifera) Flower Extract, Fucus Vesiculosus (Seaweed) Extract, Disodium EDTA, PEG-45M, Ifra Certified Allergen Free Fragrance, Ci 42090
I think I missed something about this. Just remind me in the comment section, please.
7. Neutrogena Deep Clean Facial Cleanser- 3.5/5 ⭐
Let’s start with the packaging. The Neutrogena Deep Clean Facial Cleanser comes in a sleek, transparent bottle with a pump dispenser, making it super easy to use. No fumbling with caps or squeezing tubes—just a simple pump, and you’re good to go. The clear, golden gel looks pretty inviting. Simple and functional, but not exactly winning any design awards.
It is a shiny golden-ish gel that lathers up nicely. It really feels refreshing on application. It promises to leave your skin feeling fresh and clean without over-drying. It lathers up nicely and smells clean and slightly medicinal, not unpleasant but not exactly spa-worthy.
This cleanser comes with a punch of salicylic acid, a beta hydroxy acid (BHA) that helps unclog pores and covers blemishes. Great pick for acne-prone skin! However, it also contains some stronger detergents that might be a concern for sensitive skin. This cleanser does a great job of removing dirt, oil, SPF and makeup without much effort. Easy on the wallet, which is important because you might need to repurchase some moisturizer after using this (more on that later). The strong detergents can leave your face feeling a bit tight and stripped. Moisturizer is a must after using this! If your skin throws tantrums easily (redness, irritation), this might be a bit too harsh. This one improves your complexion.
As per my personal review, I highly recommend this to people with oily skin to use it when they want a fresh wash or they feel their pores are blocked. This Cleanser is a powerful option for those with oily, acne-prone skin. It does a great job of removing oil and dirt, and the salicylic acid helps fight breakouts. However, be warned - it can be drying, so make sure to moisturize "religiously." I repeat- I don't recommend it to sensitive skin (not for daily wash) and that's why I gave it 3.5/5.
FreshhFleshh Tip- Dab a tiny amount of cleanser directly on pimples to help reduce inflammation and redness. (Always patch test first!).
You can purchase this from the link attached below. Don't get confused of the quantity one bottle of 50 ml will easily continue for approximately 1.5 months if you wash it twice daily.
Ingredient list- Water, Sodium Laureth Sulfate, Glycerin, Lauryl Glucoside, Cocamidopropyl Betaine, PEG-120 Methyl Glucose Dioleate, Salicylic Acid, Sodium Cocoamphoacetate, Salicylic Acid, Methylparaben, Polysorbate 20, Sodium Citrate, Fragrance, Phenoxyethanol, Citric Acid, Disodium EDTA, Yellow 5, Red 33
Dot and Key Pore Foaming Face Wash is good for normal to oily skin type and Neutrogena Deep Clean Facial Cleanser is good for oily to heavily oily skin types. And that's why i have given both of them 3.5/5.
8. Dr. Sheth’s Neem & Salicylic Acid Face Wash- 3.5/5⭐
It is an exfoliating cleanser crafted for sensitive Indian Skin keeping in mind the humid climate and various environmental stressors that may bog the skin down. Enriched with Salicylic Acid, Neem & Tulsi Extract, the formulation dives deep into your pores & unclogs trapped debris while healing inflammation to reveal glowing, fresh skin with every use.
My favourite ingredient here is- Tulsi and Neem extract! The combination of salicylic acid at a moderate 1% concentration and soothing ingredients like neem and tulsi might be suitable for sensitive skin types (patch testing is always recommended). It deeply cleanses, reduces oiliness and do actually removes acne and blackheads.
The face wash has a gel-like consistency that feels light and refreshing on the skin. It lathers up nicely without being too foamy. The scent is mild and herbal, thanks to the neem and tulsi—perfect for those who prefer subtle fragrances in their skincare. This face wash excels at deep cleaning. The salicylic acid works wonders on clogged pores, leaving my skin feeling fresh and clean. The neem and tulsi help to calm your skin, reducing any redness and inflammation. After a few weeks of use, you can notice a significant reduction in breakouts. Your skin will not feel stripped or dry after using this face wash, which is a big plus. The niacinamide and turmeric help to keep the skin barrier intact, ensuring that it remains hydrated and soothed. There was a noticeable improvement in the texture of my skin, and it looked clearer and more radiant.

Its blend of activated charcoal and natural extracts works wonders in purifying and refreshing the skin without causing irritation. If you live in a city or are frequently exposed to environmental stressors, this face wash is definitely worth trying.
On the flip side- The exfoliating particles might be too abrasive for very sensitive skin. It might not be moisturizing enough for your skin too, so after some time, you might pair it with a gel-based moisturizer.
You can get this from the link attached below. One tube of 100 ml can continue for approximately 1 month if you wash it twice daily.
Ingredient list- Aqua, Glycerin, Ammonium Lauryl Sulfate, Cocamidopropyl Betaine, Carbomer, Camellia Sinensis Leaf Extract, Phenoxyethanol, Parfum, Sodium Hydroxide, Ammonium Sulfate, Charcoal Powder, Ethylhexylglycerin, Disodium EDTA, Hexyl Cinnamal, Limonene, Linalool.
10. Hyphen Oil Control Daily Exfoliating Cleanser & For Oily & Acne Prone Skin- 3/5 ⭐
The Hyphen Oil Control Daily Exfoliating Cleanser comes in a sleek, minimalistic tube that’s easy to use and looks great on your bathroom shelf. The packaging is straightforward, reflecting the brand's no-nonsense approach to skincare.
The cleanser has a gel-like consistency with fine exfoliating particles that provide a gentle scrub. It spreads easily and feels refreshing on the skin. The scent is a light, clean fragrance with hints of tea tree oil, which is invigorating without being overpowering. This product does an excellent job of deeply cleansing the skin. The salicylic acid helps exfoliate and unclog pores, while tea tree oil and witch hazel work to control oil and reduce acne. After just a few uses, your skin will feel noticeably cleaner and less oily throughout the day. Despite its exfoliating properties, the Hyphen Oil Control Cleanser doesn’t leave your skin feeling dry or irritated. The aloe vera provides a nice balance, keeping my skin hydrated and smooth. Over time, you will notice a significant reduction in breakouts and a more even skin tone.
It exfoliates, controls oil, hydrates, strengthens barrier and is soap-free and fragrance-free and hence suitable for sensitive skin. Its key ingredients include- salicylic acid, tea tree oil, witch hazel and aloe vera. The 2% concentration of AHAs/BHAs might be suitable for those with sensitive skin who cannot tolerate stronger exfoliants.
BUT when introducing AHAs/BHAs, you may experience an initial breakout (purging) if your skin is not at all exposed to such chemicals before seeing improvement.
The Hyphen Oil Control Daily Exfoliating Cleanser is a promising option for those with oily and acne-prone skin seeking a gentle yet effective cleanser with exfoliating benefits. The inclusion of hydrating and barrier-supporting ingredients is a plus. However, with its newness, user experiences might be limited.
