Now, if you’re as obsessed with Korean beauty as I am, you’ve probably heard of the 7 Skin Method. This magical technique promises to give you that dreamy, glass-like skin we all crave. Since this technique is one of my favorites and I religiously follow it, I’m excited to share all the details with you. So, let’s dive into what this method is all about and how you can add it to your routine!
What’s the 7 Skin Method Anyway?
The 7 Skin Method is all about layering toner—yes, you read that right. Applying toner not just once, but up to seven times.
The goal?
To deeply hydrate your skin without the heaviness of thick creams. And don’t worry, seven isn’t a hard and fast rule. You can adjust it based on what your skin needs.
Why You’ll Love the 7 Skin Method
- Ultimate Hydration: This technique makes sure your skin drinks up all the hydration it needs, leaving you with that dewy, glass-like glow.
- Better Absorption: Layering the toner helps your skin absorb all the good stuff, making the most of your skincare products.
- Plump and Radiant Skin: With consistent use, your skin will feel plumper and look more radiant.
- Totally Customizable: You can mix and match toners based on what your skin craves at the moment.
Picking the Right Toner
Before you start, make sure you have the right toner. Look for alcohol-free, hydrating toners with ingredients like hyaluronic acid, glycerin, and botanical extracts.

How to Do the 7-Skin Method
Alright, let’s get to it! Here’s how you can master the 7 Skin Method:
- Start with Clean Skin: Wash your face with a gentle cleanser to get rid of any makeup, dirt, or grime.
- First Layer: Pour a small amount of toner into your hands and pat it onto your face. No need for cotton pads here! If you are using Mist textured toners they will be better for this technique but it is not a compulsion. If you prefer liquid toner consistency go for it.
- Let It Absorb: Give your skin a few seconds to drink up the toner.
- Repeat 6 More Times: Keep layering the toner, one layer at a time. Remember, less is more—you don’t need a lot of product for each layer. If seven layers feel like too much, start with three and work your way up.
FreshhFleshh Tips for the 7-Skin Method
- Start Slow: If you’re new to the 7 Skin Method, begin with 3 to 5 layers and gradually work your way up to 7. This helps your skin adjust without feeling overwhelmed.
- Choose the Right Toner: Look for alcohol-free, hydrating toners. Ingredients like hyaluronic acid, glycerin, and botanical extracts are your best friends. Avoid toners with harsh astringents or fragrances. If you need my suggestions check this out https://freshhfleshhglowup.blogspot.com/2024/06/top-5-best-clean-natural-toners-for.html
- Use Your Hands: Skip the cotton pads and apply the toner with your hands. This method ensures better absorption and less product wastage.
- Let It Absorb: Give each layer time to absorb before applying the next one. This usually takes a few seconds. Your skin should feel slightly tacky but not sticky.
- Adjust According to Skin Needs: Some days, your skin might not need all 7 layers. Listen to your skin and adjust the number of layers based on how it feels. If your skin feels hydrated after 4 layers, stop there. I personally use this method once a week or if I have skipped my skincare due to any reasons and I am doing my full skincare regime after a few days. But for me once or twice a week works. You don't need to do this daily. And don't ever think that doing it daily will give you better results. Remember: Excess of anything is harmful.
- Layer Different Toners: Feel free to mix and match toners for different layers. For instance, you can start with a calming toner and follow up with a hydrating one. This can help address multiple skin concerns in one go.
- Be Gentle: Avoid using toners with exfoliating ingredients (like AHAs or BHAs) for this method. These can be too harsh when layered multiple times.
- Consider Your Skin Type: For oily skin, opt for lighter, water-based toners. For dry skin, richer, more hydrating toners are ideal. Combination skin can benefit from a mix of both.
- Use It at Night: The 7 Skin Method can be time-consuming, so it’s often easier to incorporate it into your nighttime routine. This also allows your skin to fully absorb and benefit from the hydration overnight.
- Consistency is Key: Like any skincare routine, consistency is crucial. Incorporate the 7 Skin Method regularly to see long-term benefits.
- Finish with a Moisturizer: Seal in all that hydration with a good moisturizer. This locks in the moisture and keeps your skin hydrated for longer.
- Keep Your Hands Clean: Make sure your hands are clean before starting the process to avoid transferring any dirt or bacteria onto your face.

My Personal Experience
I’ve been using the 7 Skin Method for a while now, and let me tell you—it’s a game-changer. The first time I tried it, my skin felt incredibly plump and hydrated. Over time, I’ve noticed a significant improvement in my skin’s texture and radiance. It’s become my go-to ritual, especially when my skin feels parched or stressed.
So yes, if you love toners too or want glass skin effect, hydration and spotless glow. This technique is definitely one of the few keys.
Wrapping It Up: Is the 7 Skin Method Worth It?
Absolutely! The 7 Skin Method is a fantastic way to boost hydration and give your skin the love it deserves. It’s easy, effective, and can fit into any skincare routine. So why not give it a shot? Your skin will thank you!
